I do not watch television, just movies on the weekends. Last night I watched some of Obama's speech , after about ten minutes of that I decided to flip through the five channels that I have. I have rabbit ears, no cable. The reason I don't have cable is because television has gone bad, it sucks. Basically, from what I can tell most everything on television is reality shows. I have never watched one, but I know they are mindless crap. I hear about the one called Duck Dynasty as the main character has made the news recently. What is up with that, why would anyone watch that garbage. Television has gone bad. "Here's a thought, "why don't we read a book." ---Kelly

As a boy I remember my dad and grandparent's talking about how things were much simpler when they were growing up. They talked about how the times were changing, especially prices of things such as movies and food. Here I am forty -five and it is weird to think that I am old enough now to think back to a time when things seemed simpler. Unreal, but that's the reality. I was raised in the eighties and it was even simpler then. There wasn't internet, not in households anyway. No cell phones, but bag phones that very few people owned. Prices were cheaper, especially food. Some of you reading this may think the things I mentioned such as phones and internet have made things simpler, I disagree, if technology stops working even for five minutes, people panic. Leave your phone at home for one day or stay off internet for one day and see if it's that easy. Life was easier when we didn't know what these things were, these things were not in our lives to miss, because we didn't have them. Technology makes us stupid. Many people can't even count back change any more because cash machines tell them how much change to give back to customers. So strange that now I am one of those people talking about how much simpler things used to be. Unbelievable.---Kelly
I want to take the time to thank everyone who has purchased my book of poetry, "A Day with You" I am very proud of this book of poetry. Out of all the work I have had published in magazines, journals and books, as well as what I have self- published, this work is what I am most proud of. It is honest, raw, and even funny. The poetry in this particular book is from my heart and it comes from the feelings circulating in my soul. Once again thanks to everyone who has purchased it, and thanks in advance to those who hopefully will. I am thankful to be able to share it with each and everyone of you.--- Kelly
If you don't have your health, you have nothing. To me that is pure and simple. I suppose some don't ever think about their health because they are too tied up in their career, or trying to keep up with the Jones's so to speak. We all need self care. We all need time to focus on ourselves and we all need to make time to do the things we want in life. If we don't , that leads to stress and stress leads to death. I have never understood the greedy people who work so hard for money and toys that they never have time to enjoy them. It seems they are always trying to advance in their career's to make more money to buy useless bullshit and as a result ignore their health You can't take material things with you, if you could then behind your hearse would be a moving truck full of the useless crap you bought from working so hard. We have to enjoy life, because it may not be here tomorrow.---Kelly
Would you rather, Work your current job for the next year at double your current rate of pay, or have the next year off at full pay?
Would you rather receive a life time supply of meals from your favorite restaurant or a life time supply of gasoline? Would you rather have a photographic memory or be able to forget anything you wanted? Would you rather spend a year teaching at an inner-city school or spend one month as a beat cop in the same neighborhood? |
